Executive Leadership Team

Richard Myers

Managing Director

Richard Myers founded Realty Capital in 1987 to acquire, develop, own and manage investment-grade commercial and residential real estate projects. He, along with Jimmy Archie and Tim Coltart, manage and oversee the operations of Realty Capital along with focusing on property acquisition and development.

In addition to his responsibilities at Realty Capital, Richard is the Chief Executive Officer of Realty Capital Partners (RCP). He formed this company to provide individual investors with the opportunity to invest in real estate projects. RCP has invested approximately $500 million of equity, representing approximately $1.5 billion of real estate projects.

Prior to forming Realty Capital and RCP, Richard was a partner with Lincoln Property Company, a national real estate development company. Before joining Lincoln, he was a development partner and Senior Vice President of GSC Realty Corporation, a Dallas-based development company. While at GSC, he was responsible for the development and acquisition of approximately $450 million of commercial and residential projects located in 10 states. To date, he has developed over 4,000 residential units and more than one million square feet of commercial buildings.

Richard graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and from Harvard Business School with a Master of Business Administration.

Tim Coltart joined Realty Capital in 2007 and is responsible for reviewing and selecting land acquisition and development opportunities for Realty Capital. In 2011, Tim became a partner in Realty Capital and currently serves as one of the three Managing Directors. With expertise in land entitlement, flood plain reclamation, financial analysis, public-private partnerships, and construction management, Tim has directed numerous multi-family and mixed-use developments. Tim’s creative approach to complex entitlement cases enables RCM to move quickly and confidently in the pursuit of development projects and to see opportunities where others see challenges.

Most notable projects include Main Street Lofts, a 550-unit apartment community in Downtown Mansfield, Texas that won the City of Mansfield’s “Best Economic Game Changer” award in 2018, and an award-winning joint-venture with Hillwood Communities called Harvest, a 1,100-acre master-planned community in Argyle, Texas.

Prior to joining Realty Capital, Tim led an acquisition team for a residential development group in Dallas and spent several years traveling to all corners the world including sailing from Florida to Italy and crossing the African continent. He currently serves on a number of District Boards.

Tim is an avid skier, a graduate of Massey University in New Zealand where he received a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree in Real Estate Management and Development. He lives in Colleyville with his wife and 4 children.

Jimmy Archie joined Realty Capital in 1997 and has been an integral part of land acquisition and development for a number of the company’s commercial properties. In 2011, Jimmy became a partner in Realty Capital and currently serves as one of its three Managing Directors. Over his 28-year career with Realty Capital, Jimmy has developed over 65 office, medical, and mixed-use buildings totaling over 1.3 million square feet. Most notable projects are The Village at Colleyville, a 600,000 square foot mixed-use development in the City of Colleyville, which is home to Colleyville City Hall and the Colleyville Public Library and Lakeside DFW, a mixed-use development on Lake Grapevine in Flower Mound, Texas, consisting of 2,200 medium to high density residential units and 500,000 square feet of commercial space.

Jimmy has served as a development consultant for third-party owners including Stardust Celebrations, Luxor Jewelers and Jack Prewitt Aviation. His passion is developing mixed-use projects that provide a great quality of life for residents and creates opportunities for entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams of owning a business in a thriving mixed-use environment.

After attending Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, Jimmy graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, where he served as co-captain of the 1996 football team. He volunteers as President of the Advisory Council for Christ the King Catholic School in Dallas and also serves as President of the Jesuit Alumni Association. In his role as President of the Jesuit Alumni Association, Jimmy also serves on the Board of Trustees for Jesuit’s Foundation, which manages the school’s endowment. Jimmy resides in Dallas with his wife, Lori, and their two children.

Alexander Brown

President | Realty Capital Residential

Alex Brown joined Realty Capital’s development team in 2015 and serves as a Development Partner. In addition to his role with Realty Capital Management, Alex is the President of Realty Capital’s multi-family development company, Realty Capital Residential (RCR). With a focus primarily on multi-family and office projects, Alex works on all facets of ground up development from site acquisition through disposition of the asset. Alex’s responsibilities include overseeing the operations of RCR, along with growing both companies’ project pipelines and managing project financing, operations during project development, and asset management. He also works on investor relations for both companies, as well as the sourcing of new equity and debt prospects for upcoming developments.

Alex graduated with honors from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Economics and Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Political Science and Public Policy.

Alex lives in Dallas with his wife, Erica, and their newborn son.

Development Team

Austin Gray

Development Partner

Austin Gray joined Realty Capital’s development team in 2018 and works with senior partners in all areas of the development process, including market research, due diligence, entitlements, and financial analysis.

Austin assists with new deals from initial contract through construction. Current projects include The Highlands, a 363-acre estate lot community in Northlake, and Lakeside Tower condominium on Lake Grapevine.

Prior to joining Realty Capital, Austin was a Wealth Management Analyst at J.P. Morgan.

Austin graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and from Texas A&M University with a Masters in Land and Property Development. He is an avid golfer and college sports fan. He and his wife reside in Grapevine.

Jacob Birmelin joined Realty Capital’s development team in 2022 and works with senior partners in every stage of the development process. His responsibilities include financial analysis, market research, land entitlement, and working directly with government officials and contractors.

Jacob helps with new projects from land acquisition through construction. Current projects include three office buildings in Flower Mound, and a 7-acre development in Mansfield, Texas.

Jacob graduated from Princeton University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics and a concentration in Political Economy. During his time at Princeton, he was a member of Princeton Football and Cannon Club.

Nic Ready

Development Associate

Nic Ready joined Realty Capital’s development team in 2024 and works with the senior and junior partners to assist in all aspects of the development process. He is currently working on the construction of Lakeview Landing in Granbury, a 47-acre mix-use development, and multiple projects within Lakeside Village in Flower Mound, Texas.

Nic brings logistics expertise to Realty Capital as he recently transitioned from serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force as a Logistics Readiness Officer. He served five years active duty and was deployed to the Middle East in Support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE, OPERATION ENDURING SENTINEL, and OPERATION SPARTAN SHIELD executing multi-modal logistical support in a contested environment.

Nic graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management where he was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 23rd round of the 2019 MLB draft. He played 5 years in the Marlin’s organization while simultaneously serving on active duty.

A Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas graduate, Nic returned home to Dallas and enjoys living in North Texas. He is an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing and staying involved in sports such as golf and baseball.

Development Partner

Sam joined Realty Capital’s development team in 2022 and works with senior partners in all aspects of the development process, including direct interaction with government officials, general contractors and consultants, financial analysis, contract negotiation, market research and commercial leasing.

Current projects include a 38-acre mixed-use development in Keller called Keller Center Stage, a new mexican restaurant called Los Caminos in Flower Mound, and a 21-acre mixed-use development that is an expansion of Lakeside DFW in Flower Mound.

Sam brings 19 years of experience working in the retail / real estate industry. Prior to joining Realty Capital, he spent 9 years at AvalonBay Communities overseeing leasing and strategy for the company’s retail and restaurant portfolio in the western half of the United States.

Sam graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Spanish. His passions include cooking, live music and basketball.

Sarah joined Realty Capital in 2021 and aids in daily property and development management. Sarah is responsible for managing numerous retail, office, and mixed-use use projects for Realty Capital. She works closely with the development team to aid in the ground up development process. She is responsible for acquiring permits, communicating with city officials, and coordinating with new and existing tenants.

Prior to joining Realty Capital, Sarah held positions in retail management, healthcare, talent acquisition, and brand marketing for nearly 10 years.

Leslie Bardo

Senior Vice President

Leslie Bardo is Senior Vice President of Realty Capital and joined the company in 2001. She has her interior design license and was instrumental in the creation of Realty Capital Interior Design in 2018. As one of the Creative Directors for RCID, Leslie works closely with the Realty Capital developers on interior finishes and procurement of furniture, fixtures and accessories for various projects including multi-family, commercial and restaurants. She is also the graphic designer for logos and marketing collateral for the various projects.

Leslie was one of the developers on the Lakeside Tower, a 15-story luxury condominium high-rise on Lake Grapevine in Realty Capital’s very successful 150-acre Lakeside development. Her responsibilities on the Tower included interfacing with the equity and financial partners as well as the general contractor, architect, engineers and was involved with the interior design of the amenity areas and individual condominium units,

Currently, she is working with the development team on the Lakeside Village hotel and office building as well as interior design work for Realty Capital’s restaurant division and the Los Caminos Cocina.

Abbey Glass joined Realty Capital in 2018 and is the Director of Marketing. She is responsible for the marketing of various projects, such as Lakeside, a 160-acre mixed-use development in Flower Mound. Her duties include issuing press releases, developing marketing materials, coordinating events, creating logos, and designing websites.

In addition, Abbey has her interior design license and helped create the Interior Design division of Realty Capital in 2018. RC Interior Design has created beautiful residential and commercial spaces, while helping various projects become more budget-friendly with interior selections and furnishings. Recent projects include selecting furniture, fixtures, and accessories for the amenity areas of The Dylan, a luxury apartment community in Fort Worth, staging a two bedroom model unit at Main Street Lofts in Mansfield, and selecting the interior finishes for retail shops including AshJenn Signature Desserts in Flower Mound and Del Campo Empanadas in Flower Mound.

Christina Myers joined Realty Capital in 2023 and works as a Design Associate in the Interior Design Division of Realty Capital. She assists with the procurement of furniture, fixtures, and accessories for various projects across the multi-family, commercial, and restaurant spaces.

Additionally, Christina oversees the social media accounts for the company and works on select branding projects, most recently for The Kodiak Club in Colorado.

Christina graduated magna cum laude from The University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Communication and earned her master’s degree in Luxury Brand Management from Sup de Luxe Paris.

Kelly Vance

Director of Accounting

Kelly Vance is responsible for the company’s financial transactions and reporting for over 50 partnerships.

Kelly interfaces with the property management and development departments in processing accounts payable/receivables, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports and maintains all bank accounting functions.

She has over 23 years’ experience in the medical field as a Practice Administrator/Manager, prior to joining Realty Capital.

Abbey graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Emma McManus

Director of Investor Services

Emma McManus joined Realty Capital in 2022 and is the Director of Investor Services. She is responsible for managing the firm’s relationships with shareholders and investors, preparing quarterly reports for all development projects, and pursuing new relationships with potential investors.

Emma graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts and earned her Masters Degree from the Cox School of Business in 2019.

Michael Mills

Director of Investor Relations

Michael Mills joined Realty Capital in 2024 and is the Director of Investor Relations. In this role, he serves as our client-facing representative and is responsible for managing our current individual investor relationships as well as pursuing new relationships with potential investors.
