A new mixed-use project on the way in Keller will bring apartments, commercial, retail and restaurant space.
Called Keller Center Stage, the 38-acre development is under construction on Mount Gilead Road at U.S. Highway 377.
Irving-based Realty Capital Management is building the project along with apartment firm Greystar.
The first phase of construction includes 24,000 square feet of commercial space and a community lawn for music events.
“The mixture of restaurants, shops and offices that surround a programmed amenity space open to the public is what will really activate Keller Center Stage and create a place for the community of Keller to enjoy and gather,” AJ Glass, development partner with Realty Capital, said in a statement. “We are in conversations with restaurateurs, a coffee shop, a spa/salon owner and numerous other retail service providers who are all extremely enthusiastic about the project and cannot wait to bring more variety to the city of Keller.”
The first phase of construction will include 24,000 square feet of commercial space, Greystar’s The Lyric at Keller Center Stage multi-family complex and a community lawn that will provide a venue for live music events.
Greystar’s 475-unit apartments will include an almost 2-acre water feature, a resort-style pool, outdoor barbecue areas and a gym.
“The Lyric at Keller Center Stage is intended to provide a neighborhood mixed-use community for nearby residents to easily come walk, shop, dine and be entertained,” JR Thulin, senior director of development for Greystar, said in a statement.
The Lyric at Keller Center Stage will be completed starting in late 2022.
A 10,000-square-foot professional office building is also planned in the Center Stage project.
The mixed-use community will also include 57 patio homes.
